博士,教授,博士生导师,湖北省楚天学者特聘教授,北京科技大学兼职教授。三峡大学学术委员会常务副主任,湖北省弱磁探测工程技术研究中心主任,磁电子与纳磁探测研究所所长。

近年来,主要从事自旋电子学、磁性功能材料相关的基础与应用研究,以及弱磁传感器、磁悬浮加速度仪器等研制。主持国家自然科学基金项目面上项目5项、湖北省科技支撑项目1项、北京市自然科学基金1项以及教育部博士点专项科研基金项目和多项横向科研项目。发表科学研究论文百余篇,其中SCI收录论文140篇,SCI论文引用1500余次,授权国际发明专利2项,中国发明专利40余项。

长期担任国家级科研项目、人才计划的评审专家,并受邀为国内外三十余种学术期刊的审稿人。
