王卫东，男，汉族，1959年7月出生，中共党员，理学博士，教授，硕士生导师，美国《Math. Reviews》评论员（Reviewer number：080998），全国不等式研究会常务理事。现在三峡大学理学院数学系从事教学和科研工作，主要研究领域为几何分析、几何极值问题和几何不等式。已主持完成湖北省教育厅重点科研项目3项、参加完成国家自然科学基金面上项目1项，现主持在研国家自然科学基金面上项目1项。2005年以来，已在《Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications》、《Journal of Inequalities and Applications》、《Mathematical Inequalities and Applications》、《Taiwanese Journal of Mathematics》、《Acta Mathematica Sinica》、《数学学报》、《数学年刊》、《数学进展》、《系统科学与数学》等国内外专业期刊上公开发表学术论文68篇，其中SCI收录44篇。
